In the primitive design of the process plant the flow lines where from
each of the equipment used to be drawn from the source to the destination. Due to the cost
consciousness and the aesthetics, engineers started cutting down the line routing by
identifying the common source for different destinations. |
For such type of
common lines were provided till the destination room and different lines drawn from there
onwards. Due to aesthetics this concept was further modified to make things much simpler,
these new concepts introduced divert panels in the process plants. Divert panels or flow
plates are as the name indicates is an stainless steel plate having number of nozzles as
per the name indicates is an stainless steel plate having number of nozzles as per the
design which are used to divert the flow from common source to different destinations.
Design Highlights:
- Strong SS plate with an SS pipe or box border to give it strength
- The plate consists of nozzles as per the requirement
- The nozzles can be provided with Butterfly valves or Unions (SMS / IDF / DIN)
- To connect between the desired nozzles swing bends are provided.
- All the nozzles and bends are inside polished after welding for sanitary purpose.
- The whole divert panel is buffed to give it a good aesthetic appearance.
- All the nozzles on divert panels are provided with blanks which are attached to the flow
plate with an SS chain. These blanks are used to blank the nozzle whenever it is not in
use.

Strainer are required to separate foreign particles from the liquid. This
helps in primary clarification and avoids choking of the spray ball in case of CIP
solution.
Design Highlights:
- The body of the strainer is in the long pipe section with union connections on both
ends, which facilitates in removing the strainer mesh from inside.
- The filter mesh is made on the pipe with holes on it depending on the foreign particle
size in the liquid. The perforated pipe or strainer mesh is introduced inside the strainer
body and the union tightened.
- In the inlet of the strainer a drain pipe with valve is provided so that the sludge can
be drained during back washing of the filter. To facilitate back washing a separate nozzle
with valve is provided on the outlet pipe of the strainer.
- The strainer can be easily by dismantled for inspection.

basin, extensively used in Brew to determine color and viscosity of Wort. |
Aeration / Carbonation is required to maintain a desire level of the gas in the
product. e.g. Aeration in the Wort and carbonation in beer in the Breweries, carbonation
in the soft drinks etc. In all the cases it is very important to have the same level of
gas in the product, hence proper injection and mixing unit is very essential.
Design Highlights:
- Inverted 'L' shaped unit with the product inlet from the bottom and the product outlet
from the side.
- The gas injection is through a stainless steel candle of 40-60 micron pore size as per
requirement.
- Non return valve is provided at the inlet of the injector candle to avoid the flow of
the liquid into the gas tube.
- The gas line is provided with the pressure regulator and the micron filter for adjusting
the required pressure and supply of dirt free gas.
- The body of the gas mixer is in glass so that the injection and mixing can be viewed.

This bowl is used for weighment of milk received in cans at the dairy.Design
Highlights:
- Capacity : 250 L or 500 L volumetric.
- Construction : SS 304 Milk Strainer for dumping of milk from cans.
- Finish : Sanitary 120 grit
- SS 304 Milk Bowl fixed by 4 nos. hangers on milk weigh scale. The bowl will be made of
SS 304 2mm thick sheet. All curvatures and corners are of 25mm radius for sanitary
purpose. The top edge of the bowl is folded to impart strength.
- Bowl bottom sloping towards outlet.
- Bowl outlet valve : Lift type disc valve for unloading of milk into dump tank after
weighment.

For storage of chilled raw and pasteurized milk. The insulated tank stores milk at chilled
condition for hours without temperature rise.
Design Highlights:
- Capacity : 5000 Ltr, 10000 Ltr, 15000 Ltr.
- Construction : Horizontal cylindrical body supported on 4 or 6 legs.
- Inner shell : made of 2mm thick SS 304 sheet. Conical ends with sanitary accessories.
Finish : Sanitary 120 grit
- Outer shell : made of 2mm thick SS 304 or 3mm thick MS cold rolled CDCA sheet. The mild
steel tank will be painted with one coat of anti-corrosive primer and two coats of dairy
enamel paint.
- Insulation : Three layers insulation
- First layer - 25mm rockwood compressed to 10mm on outer side of inner shell
- Second layer - 50 mm thick polystyrene layer bonded by hot bitumen.
- Third Layer - 40 mm thick polystyrene sheet bonded by hot bitumen to reduce air
pockets.
Accessories :
- Agitator - Propeller type agitator mounted on top with geared motor for agitation of
milk. Electric motor of 1 hp.
- CIP nozzles - 2 nos. with CIP spray ball for CIP cleaning of tanks.

Screwed type gas mixer is the most modern of the gas mixer, this design enables inn
getting the accurate fixture of the gas in the liquid due to more turbulence created by
the screw. The design is very simple and there is no problem for complete CIP of the
system.
Design Highlights:
- The main body is the pipe with unions having connection on either end for inlet and
outlet of the fluid.
- Screw is provided inside the body for creating turbulence. The screw is in close
tolerance with the body tube. The rotation of the screw is achieved with fluid pressure
acting on the screw.
- The gas inlet nozzle is perpendicular to the tube and is provided with a non return
valve to avoid fluid entry in the gas line.
- The gas line is provided with a pressure regulator and a sterile filter. The gas line
can be CIPed by changing the swing over bend from the gas line to the CIP line.
- This can be custom designed for wide range of liquid flows.
